Breaking our record?

In September this year we took Penny Saunders out sailing. Peggy is a resident of Kentford Manor in Newmarket. She was born in 1926 in Lincolnshire - a countryside girl with an adventurous spirit. She took up sailing with her husband Tony when they were both in their 50s. They took various RYA courses and owned several boats together - even sailing across to the Netherlands together. Through a scheme run by Kentford Manor known as the 'Wishing Tree' she expressed a wish to go sailing once more and so they approached us to take her out sailing. We were delighted to be able to help them.

The weather gods obliged and we had a lovely day to take her out on the water in our Sonar. She had a lovely day and it left us wondering, is she the oldest person we have ever taken sailing? It's a record we are happy to try and break again .....
