A copper-bottomed boat ....

We were delighted that Fox's were able to help us out with our new Sonar. Fox's prepared and Coppercoated our newly acquired 22' Sonar keelboat. As a dry sailed racing boat she had never been antifouled, so Coppercoat was recommended and applied in order to maintain a super smooth bottom finish whilst also offering excellent antifouling properties.

This particular Sonar, called Chimera, was previously owned by local Paralympian, Hannah Stodel, who has competed in four Paralympics, sailing Sonars. Hannah was a pupil at Royal Hosp[ital School, so it was great to be able to buy a boat with these local conncections. The boat is one of the Sonars Hannah and her team (John Robertson and Stephen Thomas) used for London 2012. Sadly sailing was excluded from the paralympics in 2016 and the RYA and World Sailing have been campaigning extensively for its return in time for the 2028 games. As a sailability group, we wholeheartedly support this.

Thanks to Fox's for their help and support in carrying out this work.
