Annual General Meeting 2012
On the 30th of January sailors and volunteers attended our second Annual General Meeting to discuss plans for the year. The discussion was very positive, and everyone was appreciative of what had been achieved. There were plenty of ideas for improvements from both sailors and volunteers.
Johnty Dickinson and Hugh de las Casas were presented with engraved tankards and framed photographs in appreciation of their years of service to the Project. They are pictured here with Julia Dansie

Party time
Last sailing session of 2011 and we had a party planned.
50 or more volunteers and sailors arrived which was an enormous reflection on their commitment and enjoyment of the project and particularly the Monday open session. It meant that the hut was full almost to bursting and the heat inside was greater by far that the temperature outside.
Needless to say we had 6 boats that ventured out into the icy winds and two were enjoying themselves so much that they had to be called back in before they froze.
Hot soup and two tables laden with food were shared by all and at 12 sharp the socialising within the hut stopped for a very generous raffle and thanks were given to all involved who had made the party happen.
One sailor on leaving said to me "The Woolverstone Project is the best, THE best in the country for running this kind of sailing".
Definitely an annual event.

Keeping warm

At the end of the last session of 2011 all the volunteers were presented with a woolly hat to help keep warm during 2012. Here they are proudly showing them off.
