CLOTHING:
The Project provides buoyancy aids and wet weather gear. Soft soled shoes and layered clothing should be worn. A change of clothes is a good idea! PLEASE leave all valuables (jewellery, phones and so on) behind!
CHANGING FACILITIES:
There are changing and toilet facilities at both sailing sites suitable for the disabled.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Both sites are accessible by wheelchair and there are hoists at both sites. Individual adaptations are made as needed.
INSTRUCTORS:
Our instructors are very experienced and hold Royal Yachting Association (the national governing body) qualifications in teaching sailing, safety boat handling and first aid.
SAFETY:
Safety is of paramount importance. We work to Suffolk Watersports Association's Safe Operating Procedures, which are governed by the RYA. Through the Suffolk County Council, we are registered with the S.A.F.E. child protection scheme and licensed under the Adventure Activities Act.
VOLUNTEERS:
We have on-shore volunteers on hand to ensure our sailors are well looked after before and after the session.
